Im new to this lark, but have got most things fixed/bodged on my Hymer. However, the fridge is completely US. It's an Electrolux, 48cm wide, 55 cm high, abd approx 40 cm deep including the thickness of the door. Can anyone tell me if this a standard size, and I can get a replacement off the shelf? Or am I looking at spending a lot of cash having the venting changed?
------------- If you get stuck behind us,The Pig (that's my ageing but stalwart Hymermobil) and I will be doing the best we can.
A new fridge can be bought from a caravan shop for about £400 + the fitting, that way you will have new direct replacement for your existing one & it will work properly. If you buy secondhand it might not be much better than the existing one. A cheaper alternative might just to get a free standing fridge & fit that, cost £120-£200.
Dunno where abouts in Essex you are but Weely Caravans nr Clacton have a good selection of all the above fridges.
