Hi all

I have a VW T25 and brake fluid is leaking when i brake.  Its coming from up behind the brake pedal and i cannot find a description of how to change that part.  Can anyone tell me what it is please??

master cylinder onh the servo has gone dont drive the m/h like that it is a disaster waiting to happen.

As above, it will probably be the slave though. But DO NOT DRIVE! Once air gets in the next thing to happen is CRASH and possibly DEATH!

You really want to be posting that sort of question on the tech forum of club80-90 you can get a Haynes manual for T25 & you need one if you want to run one sucessfully as this is just the sort of prob you will get from time to time. The fluid resevoir is under the speedo binnacle. put your fingers in front of plastic binnacle in front of windscreen to feel 2 indentations. press hard & pull upwards & backwards & it will come away with a bang.

It will affect clutch as well because the master cylinder does both, if its the original master cylinder it will probabley of had it but you might get away with a repair kit.

If your nearest VW van centre no longer lists the part you may get one from GSF, there should be a branch nr you.

Defo not the slave, but as others say it is the master cylinder seals/bore worn. I`d be looking for a new master cylinder if one is available.
