Hi guys & gals

My OH has brought up the subject of perhaps investing in a Bongo instead of relying on reasonable weather to use our tent.

Only thing is we would have to off load our present car in order to purchase the said converted Bongo and I wonder if it's practical for us two and two staffies to be reasonably comfortable in?

Having no experience of a bongo at all i thought i'd ask you lovely people for some advice.

Thanks muchly

Apal of mine had a bongo last week and i must say it looked very versatile it had a kitchen unit that was easily removed so you can use the bongo as your normal transport . It is slightly smaller than a transit so is easy to park and apparently there are lots of goodies available for them.

So i would think in answer to your question you would be safe to assume 2 adults 2 dogs would not be a problem.

Hope this helps you  please let us all know how you get on and what you decide.

DELBOY

We're still in the early days of weighing up the pro's and con's but i really like the idea of getting one - i'd love to travel more and see more so i'll be sure to keep people posted :)

I'm excited but we just need to find some cash ....

Hi, we pull the front passenger seat forward and push the back of it down so that it's lying flat and put a duvet type dog bed there and that's where Mack sleeps.  When travelling he sits on the rear facing back seat, all the signs tell us both places are comfy enough for him!  He's a heinz 57 with the height and look of a Lab but skinnier if knowing the size helps you!

We have a Bongo, well a Freda to be exact and take our two dogs with us at all times. They're not exactly small dogs (Dobermann and Golden Retriever)but we have it sussed with regard to sleeping arrangements. The two of them love it and don't let us out of their sights when they see the Bongo is being packed in case they get left behind. Go on, buy it.

Thanks guys that really helps. I'm certainly much more for getting a bongo type campervan. I wanted something in which we could take the dogs as they get left behind too much as a tent is not their cup of tea!
