A friend of mine wants some advice on the beading for fixing an awning to a van. Does anyone know where he can get some for a DIY job?

If you mean the aluminum awning rail that fixes to the side of the van you can buy lengths of it from any large caravan dealer shop. You can fix it to the van with a bead of polyurethane sealant/adhesive like Sikaflex 512.
