hi! Floomel,
I use the van as everyday transport (shopping etc) because my other transport is a m/bike. (of course we do get away in the van, but can't say iv'e noticed an improvement in consumption)
I think at 20 to the gallon, you won't be far out, because as i have said mine seems thirsty

Topic: VW petrol consumption
- unleaded, about 82p a litre from sainsbury's....I think about 20 miles per gallon.
