I have a 1992 "A" class Laika 57S and I found the wire from the battery to the habitation 12V. supply has a black box with a 50 amp cut out fuse in line on opening it I found it to be bown its just a flat strip type bolted at each end.O the cover is the logo MTA on it,think its ITALIAN make. Can I get a replacement stip easly or can I put in a new uk type in its place. I have seen them in early cars to protect parts of the cars electrics. Thanks tor reading.
hi Rod not ure if you will get a replacement fuse but if it just screws in why not use fuse wire to equivelent loading? do you know what caused it to blow as that will require fixing first
It my be the step as it stoped working, But all others worked till I took the batt's off for charging at home over the winter.I have temp bridge to test snd the lights work but i noticed the logo for the 12v plug on the display boart litup red. so have to test that.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
is this what you have? The fuses sometimes blow when the liesure battery is alowed to go quite flat. The initial high charging current blows the fuse. Another cause is if the starter battery has been fully charged Then the relay connecting the leisure battery opens and the leisure battery is powering the starter, which has a high current deaw.
