or fiat ducato if you speak italian instead of french ;)
anyone replaced a front wheel bearing on one of these? anything I should know and what is a reasonable price to pay, 1st look on the bay suggests about £35
the price is about right and the job is a breeze , just be careful that you have the van supported properly and safely they are very heavy vehicles i used to use a 30 tonne bottle jack on my talbot.
Also check the driveshaft gators and change if neccessary.
Hope this helps you in some way .

------------- you may be frustrated now but infront of me there is a big incline . yeh it may be slow but it is in front
cheers DB, I've got a large trolley jack which in theory could lift the whole truck (no idea how I would get it to balance though!) and loads of axle stands, had a quick look today and "seems" straightforward enough but the proof of the pudding and all that
Just done mine front & back nearside, got parts from
http://www.autopartswarehouse.co.uk/product.aspx?ID=290611
much cheaper than anywhere, front & rear delivered for £34
got the bearing locally, bit dearer than above but not a silly amount and I could get it done today,
think it's safe to say the old bearing was to tight, took a 4 foot scaffold bar on the breaker bar and the next door neighbour STANDING on the brake to get it cracked, and yes I had removed the "tabs" as well....
Been reading your posts with interest, tried replacing my 97 Ducato front bearings, got the bearing nut off with a struggle but couldn't get the hub off. Didn't want to damage anything so pumped a bit of grease in with a syringe and put it back together. How does the hub come off as I would like to replace the bearings eventually.
