I wave when I can but some times I happen to be watching the road in front of me not what is passing on the other side.I think sometimes ( and this includes me we take it personal if we do not get a wave back).

Its al a bit of fun, if people dont wave back thats up to them. Again if people want to ignore you on a site that is up to them, I am always open to talking to people, I even try out my French and German when on holidays with the natives!!

Hi we usually find most MH ers wave at us, but last week on the way to Norfolk there did seem to be a lack of wavers LOL.

I have to be honest and say that usually on site we do find most folk friendly etc apart from the odd one...............like the caravanner a few weeks ago on Bainland in Woodhall Spa that firstly watched my Son (who arrived before us) in his caravan they had only just got the caravan and the guy sat merrily watching whilst my Son struggled to put up the awning for the first time. We arrived in our motorhome and my Daughter in Law told us just how un-comfy this man and his Wife had made them feel, I took the dogs a walk and the guy went out of his way to speak to me.................................................wait for it to tell me all the reasons why WE didn't want a motorhome LOL aw well theres nowt so queer as folk.17

We used to have a caravan before we changed to a motorhome and we love the way fellow motrohomers wave at us, it makes us feel like we are part of a big family somewhow.  Cant say we have noticed any unfriendliness on site, well apart from the odd caravanner or two but we have come to the conclusion that may be due to a touch of the green eyed monster when they see us set up in minutes and they have been setting up for hours! 17

It makes my OH's day when folks wave. I think its really funny how in two years he's went from an over enthusiastic wave to a really experienced looking  hands just off the steering wheel cool wave.17

As for on site, I usually find folk friendly apart from the two "proper little madams" I overheard whilst in the loo having a right old laugh about the silly wee camper parked across from them.17

Later on I realised they were parked across from us !! They had a flaming cheek since they were both in rented motorhomes.  I was sorely tempted to go over to them and say, It may be small and old but its bought and paid for not rented !!17

Nice one Tiggarsmum,

We have no time for snooty types in any situation. Nor do we give a damn what others have got. If it suites you, then that's all that matters. But with regard to waving on the road & ignoring on site, I can take it one stage further. In the past I've often helped people set-up if it's obvious they are struggling. But on one occasion a camper couldn't get the water to pump through to the taps, nor get the electric on. I must have spent at least an hour checking various things & finally got all services up and running. The result?? we were completely ignored for the rest of their stay & didn't even get a wave when they were leaving. The ignorance of some people is mind boggling.
