HI SEANITA
Welcome to the forum, the best tip for you would be to familiarise yourselves with all your interior workings etc have a practice on loading your cupboards etc , do you need an electric hook up or do you carry a genny , but you should have a leisure battery anyway.Make sure you have water in your tanks etc fill up with diesel and hit the roads.
There are plenty of places you can travel to in shepton mallet there is a massive motorhome show this weekend, there is motorcycle racing in 3 sisters thats towards wigan, ( i will be there this weekend ) or you can head out towards north wales so really there is no limit to what you can do for your first trip .
Most of all make sure you enjoy it , if poss take your camera and post some pics on the forum, If you want to see what you can really do on weekends look at kernow campers postings and blog that will give you a good insight.
Hope this helps in some way.
Let us all know how you get on.
Delboy

Hi Delboy
Many thanks for your response, I've been dreaming about one for years, but its actually here now and I must admit a little scared! We would be looking for a nice site, pub / entertainment but not too touristy ! any suggestions in North Wales?
Also, we have a van which just over 23 feet, do we need to hire two pitches ?
