I had a flat engine battery this week and have replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately the habitation lights etc. don't seem to be working as they did previously. On my control panel is a switch labelled 'main' & 'aux'. when the switch is at 'aux' I have lights & water pump working when the switch is at 'main' there is nothing. previously worked when set to either although I usual set it to 'main'.
It looks like the leisure battery is charged/connected to the starter battery. I wasn't sure which battery was 'main' and which was 'aux' but having disconnected the engine battery again the 'aux' system was still working so presuming that is connected to the leisure battery.
The old starter battery I took off was an 067 heavy duty battery. I have replaced it with an 067 battery but it doesn't specify heavy duty could this be the problem ?although the amps/hour & something else are better on the new battery than the old
Any suggestions would be gratefully received
