Seems odd to glue them down, they shouldn’t move about.

We had fitted carpet but had it taken out last month and replaced with wood effect vinyl and removable carpets. This was carried out very professionally by Crusader Carpets who specialise in this type of work. Both the Vinyl and removable carpets are excellent quality and really make the van feel that bit more luxurious.

It’s an option to have the Autotrail Apache done this way if thats the motorhome you like

I thought all the Autotrails had fitted carpets?(..up until recently that is..).

I thought that they fitted them,prior to the cabinet work going in..?(..so they couldn't even be ripped out,without cutting around all the cabinets?)..

I may of cause have got this totally wrong and be talking total tosh..  

Removable carpets are available as an option at time of build, not sure if it’s across the full Autotrail range though. It’s an option we would have had had we waited for a build date but lucky for us we found our Autotrail ready for immediate delivery at a dealer some 200 miles away. Saved over 13K as well so thats a lot to pay for a factory fresh set of carpets

Your correct about the carpet being fitted before the units are built in and that’s why we are so pleased with the job Crusader carried out. They cut around the units perfectly to remove the old carpet and fitted the vinyl, sealing around the edges to finish off. They took away the old carpet to use as templates for the removable carpets and then fitted them a week or so later.

Can’t recommended them highly enough
