We have a Movelite XL and although it's great to look at, a good size and easy to put up and take down it is just not strong enough for our good old British weather!  We have just started our second summer with it (having had to do some repair work at the end of last summer) and again it really struggled with the wind.  It bends and buckles way too easily in the lightest of breezes.  After our first camp out with it we added some additional reinforcements, i.e extra guide ropes and eyelet clamps on the skirts all round which has helped a little but basically the poles and seams are just not robust enough!  It's a shame because it connects so easily to our VW LT31 with straps and has a handy inner bedroom but we can't keep driving away from it not knowing if it's going to be there when we get back!

So, sadly, we are now looking for a new one - any suggestions?!

we bought some of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Veranda-Pole-Carbon-Fibre-/200467431833  and placed then as uprights near the corner sections, strapped them down with these http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan/outdoor/product_31535/Isabella_Storm_Strap_and_Peg.aspx?aff=122 and it was rock solid.

Had the added advantage of being able to hang things on the poles and the weight was supported by the upright veranda poles.
