Hello guys,

This is my first post on the forum, ive recently been convering a transit van into a camper. ive got a electrolux rm212a fridge from ebay and when i looked over it i noticed that within the white box on top of the fridge the unit that switches from 240v to 12 v has broken. does anybody know where i can get one from.

Also if i dont connect the gas to the fridge will i still need to connect a flue system to the fridge.

just an idea why not install a small electric fridge under worktop hight with if you are not bothering with gas . put yours on e bay it will above cover cost and you wil probably get one with a bigger freezer box for your money.

.its no good not bothering with gas if you are planning to travel once on site as you need to keep your food cool what you have in ..hope this helps

You can have gas on the move if you have the special cut out switch fitted, my vehicle has this but I would not recomend travelling with the fridge on gas, as the pilot light can be affected with motion and can cause a fire (this was an issue with a few fridges that had te plastic shroud and not the metal one). Best to use 12V for travelling.

Could contact manufacturer to locate nearest service outlet for this type of fridge and get them to send you one
