  my awning is only 18 mts old and will not close had to use a bungie to hold it shut 

I have beentold there has been some problems with the mechanisms has anyone else heard this ?

If it has the duel shock unit,it may have come loose,and the arm has dropped,if so it will need repositioning so the arm go`s in properly

You have at each end of the awning cassette "shock absorbers" which have adjustment , the adjustment is the TOP 13mm nut.

The way to make adjustments would be to open the awning by about 2 foot , you should see that the hinged parts of the arms are in the same position to each other.When you start to adjust the "shock absorber" only turn the top nut by 1/4 of a rotation at a time as you will see the arm lift or fall.

I think theres some info on adjusting on the Fiamma website. You have got the feet tucked away properly havent you? As i once had a closing problem, and found i hadnt got a leg end folded properly (on account of being a short-arse and doing it on my tip toes), hence it wouldnt fully close.

Any ideas on my problem. At one time my awning got weighed down with water and the left hand side buckled, since then the awning has been too far over to the left and you have to push it to the right and hold it in place then wind the rest in, any ideas on how to cure this problem? iv'e tried adjusting the arm but no joy.

I had the same problem as Mick S, in that I didn't have the feet tucked away behind the red plates in the centre.
It was months before we discovered why it would not go in.
Have you checked this?
