I travel in an A/S Harmony.
It's a great van for 2, but we are both small.
The engine does struggle a bit on hills, and you need to utilise the 2 front seats for the beds, would you get fed up of doing this? and the drivers side bed means your feet are under the steering wheel. check the beds for comfort.
Cooking is basic with 2 rings and a grill, would you miss an oven?
Very easy to park, just fits into std size space
Haven't any experience of the exec, but would assume it's got an oven.
Bathroom and shower are probably similar in both, but the shower is very small in them, really try them out for size , we don't tend to use the shower as it takes quite a bit to dry it out and we tend to store our holdalls of clothes in there when travelling and if on a site it's easier to use their facilities.
Basically crawl over them both and try to imagine yourself 'living ' in them, test drive them both as you will probably spend a lot of time driving.
The exec will give you more room I would think, but will be a bit bigger, and wider than the harmony.
We really like having the large opening side door in the harmony, especially when its warmer, but I think a van conversion will be a bit more drafty if your planning to use it in the winter.
Our longest trips have been for 3 weeks, and have been as far as the outer hebrides, orkney, france and italy, as well as lots of shorter and weekend trips, throughout the year.
Hope that helps
Jules
