hi all help needed again
does anyone know a good auto electrician in Lincolnshire as both my fuel and temp gages not working ive tried the fuses no joy

maybe a circuit board problem or a bad earth or loose dash connector i would be having a look at these first.

You want to check all the relevent terminals for conectivity. I had nothing working - zilch ten minutes after rolling onto a site a few weeks back. Checked all the fuses - nowt. Touched the battery terminal - which was tight on, and it all came to life! Whipped it off and cleaned it - job sorted. Just shows how you can lose power so easy.

thanks delboy I think its going to be very useful to me we all goto start somewhere lol just another question im looking at electric hook up cables does it matter what colour lead it has it's just im sure I heard somewhere it has to be orange

Taking a guess that it may be the voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel.

Not specifically orange - but one from a reputable outlet will be orange so it stands out. Itll also have the correct, good quality plugs/cable, which is more important. Pick a good seller off ebay, there are plenty, and you'll get the length you want for a decent price.

i would buy an orange one and make sure it has 240v connections not 110v .Yes it could be a voltage regulator on the rear of the dial pack on the dashboard.
