Hi was wondering if anyone has any help on ma vw t25 autosleeper bought it 2 months ago & just fitted a new starter motor & been away a few times but was all set to go today & she wouldn`t start has a clicking noise , any ideas ?

More than likely the wee copper starter bush in the bell housing andy thats a common problem on them or it could be a bad earth connection. Have a look on these 2 sites specifically for t3's (t25's) www.brickyard.co.uk and  www.club8090.co.uk

Whats your battery like? low battery will also cause symptoms you describe. Try a jump start first.

the battery was low & I charged it on sunday & kept it running for about 10 mins ,won`t know until I take it for a drive

If you battery goes flat if van is left standing for a few days, Put ammeter across terminals with everything switched off. If there is a current drain then something in the van is discharging battery. If nothing then the battery has had it & needs replacing.

I fitted a battery isolator switch to our T25 about 5 years ago and never had a flat battery...you may want to consider this as an option

Isolator switch is prevention rather than cure. If you have anything on your van causing a drain on battery while engine is off, you need to locate & fix.

An isolator switch is simple to fit. It is just a heavy duty switch fitted to battery lead. Google 'battery isolator switch'to see what they look like. Buy from any auto spares shop.
