Hey guys I want to buy a tv for my camper conversion. I've got it wired for 12v and mains but looking to the tv's looks like I could need to remortgage the house. Can anyone advise me of a reasonable but economically priced tele. Cheers tom

Some of the domestic small tv's sold by the likes of Argos are 12volt - supplied with a transformer to run on 240v home supply but you could easily modify this.

I bought an Acoustic Solutions TV a while back on 12v for a reasonable price.

Hi , I also have just bought the meos tv , I took it to York to try out last week-end , got absolutely no reception at all using the supplied aerial (campsites tend to be in poor signal areas). It works perfectly well on the aerial at home ie all freeview channels , dvd, cd player digital radio etc , so a decent camping aerial and pole looks next on the shopping list. ps the supplied games are  a bit poor but that is a minor negative on an otherwise good piece of kit.

I go to get away from the TV, phone etc.. so I've never had one in 30 years of

I heartily recommend people to save money and do without a TV. Buy a few books, games, jigsaws etc.. and go somewhere with nice scenery and a good pub.

We have a Goodmans 15" widescreen from Comet and it works a treat. Cost £95.As mentioned previously it has an external 12v / 240v power supply and runs from the leisure battery perfectly well on or off hook up.

Be careful when using these tv's with a 12v adapter this is not how they are designed to work. They dont contain a built in voltage stabiliser and if you are not hooked up your power will drop and at best you loose the picture and at worse the tv is damaged.
