Am a complete novice at caravaning and took our motorhome away last weekend for the first time.

Filled up with water, put the water pump on, primed the taps and put the water heater on and after a while had hot and cold water from the taps - lovely!

Then during the night the water pump started cycling every 10 mins which I thought was odd and was keeping us awake so I switched the pump off. The next morning switched it back on and there was no cold water. After looking outside there was water dripping from the plastic trim on the drivers side (van was leaning more onto drivers side) so straight away thought that the water tank had burst or one of the hoses has split.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else could be wrong? Is it possible for the water pump to cause the tank to burst or is it more likely to just be a hose or connector that needs replacing/tightening?

I haven't had the chance to put some water in the tank and try to find out where exactly the leak is coming from, just thought I'd post something on here first to see if anyone had any specific advice to look for.

Many thanks,Chris
