An old trick with fridges is to take them out and turn them upside down for 24 hrs and also while out check out the bottom ventilation in the floor or side wall. It is very inportant that a good flow of air pases up through the rear of the fridge and does not cause any heat build up.
Some even fit 12v computor type fans to aid the flow of air in the ventilation behind the fridge. If all this fails, check how old the fridge is, it could be just worn out, and may be worth replacing rarther than paying for a complete rebuild by a gas engineer.
