Hello to all,

I am new to all of the camping and motorhome world, many years ago i used to do a bit of camping but not a great deal,

I have just bought a motorhome which is a 1990 1.9d Fiat Ducato "Challenger Crest", the only problem being is that i cannot find any information on this particular vehicle, nobody knows anything about them. i am not sure if the motorhome has just had new stickers put on to say "Challenger Crest" years ago but they do look to be original.

The van itself is in really good condition and does not seem to have any damp except for a board in the bathroom that may need looking at in the near future, i have been quoted £250 to have this repaired and £75 to have the door reseald. i did not see these issues when i bought the van.

The van does not have a TV aerial so i suppose i will either have to have one fitted to the roof or have one on a tripod outside,

Apart from that the van is in great shape,

Could iny of you nice people shed any light on where i can get some information on this model of motorhome or can give me some pointers,

For the tv i would look at a good freeview capable aeriel with magmount(that way nobody suspects you have a tv in the vehicle) you dont have to drill any holes just plonk it on a metal part of the cab and job done.

As for the model take a trip around your local motorhome haunts and you will soon see a model like yours .Most dealers would willingly order some tech sheets etc for you at a nominal fee. Re the small damp issue if its in your budget now get it done it will save you fortunes when damp travels in motorhomes it doesnt take a holiday it travels all through the vehicle without many stops.

I think the price you have been quoted to treat it is good so if possible have it done just for a little peace of mind .

You never know someone on here may have the same motorhome then they would pass you the detail you need.
