Hi can any one help me on this one. We have just bought our first motor home An Autoquest 200, 05 reg. It is on a Peugeot body 1.9 hdi. I have just been out to do something in the van and I discovered the the radio was on. Now my Granddaughter was playing drivers yesterday and pressed all sorts of buttons. And I turned the radio on yesterday to eject a CD. I have looked in the hand book and it says it will automatically turn the radio off after twenty minutes if the ignition is off. but nothing about turning it on. We were away in it last week and did not have any problems radio wise. Just been back out to have a look and the radio is back on. I will have to take the fuse out for the time being.
Some people rewire the radio so that they can have it on when the ignition is off. This may have happened so you just need to remember to turn it off when you leave the vehicle.
Removing the fuse will probably lose the memory settings and if it is a coded radio you will need to re enter the code each time you want the radio on again.
The radio comes on on its own after being turned off, with the ignition off, keys out, doors locked, and me in the house. Perhaps now the fuse is out, when I power it up again it may have reset itself
HI Mate if look for a source button on the stereo and turn it off from there some stereo,s have a mute function for phones etc , same used to happen to mine .
Is the van haunted you never know perhaps at some stage a BATTERY MAY HAVE DIED IN THAT VAN.LOL .
Let us all know how you get on though because it,s always interesting and with a little bit of thought lots of things are sorted via the forum.

------------- you may be frustrated now but infront of me there is a big incline . yeh it may be slow but it is in front
We were in bed one night in our van when my o/h woke me & asked why the radio was on, i didn't know as it was off when we went to bed. I swiched it off via the remote & lay there for about 10 - 15 mins wide awake when it turned itself on again with no one touching it or the remote, or being anywhere near to it! Its a car radio/cd player & does not have snooze etc & is built in above the wardrobe at the bottom of the bed, i got out of bed & took the front off that shut it up. Spooky
Was your radio a Blaupunkt, steve1961. After I posted on here I had a look at other forums, and a few other people have had this problem. They had a variety of vehicles but all had Blaupunkt radios fitted. I spoke to peugeot today and asked if there was a recall on this radio, and surprise surprise, there wasn't. One of the other posters had a Vauxhall, and they did a recall. Also checked on my warranty and it does not cover entertainment equipment. At the moment I have taken the fuse out. Just off now to try Delboys idea will keep you posted. But if it is an intermittent fault I may just change the radio for an argos cheepy.
