...well,I can't see how the odd cap full,of the same chemical that we wash our clothes in,is going to do that much harm to the environment?

(..and if we're talking "the enviroment" then we probably shouldn't be driving around in "leisure" vehicles which are only doing 25-30mpg in the first place!  )

As for the smell,surely all that the SOG does is,waft it outside, towards your neighbour?....and what about the stink when you empty the,"unscented",cassette?

On the subject of septic tanks having had one for most of my life in the countryside, ditto my mother.

1. Some care is needed not too put something too toxic in the things but biological liqiid has been used constantly without any problem.  Possibly in a household they are diluted... but honestly do not think too much about it treat it like any other drain.

2. Despite the recommendation they are emptied nobody I know bothers.... IF it stinks then you organise an empty..... incidence of emptying.... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr think parents emptied it once during the drought year many many moons ago
