Hi

I am after some venues to visit in the next few weeks to look at new and used motor homes. They cant be too expensive and around 35 to 38 new will be our limit but any suggestions appreciated.

We may be able to stop overnight at some places if they are too far way.

BUt if anyone knows of any close together to start us off that might help!

Thanks in advance

I am in KIdderminster which is close to the M5 /M6 corridor. So as long as they do the best value cheapest, nicest motorhomes it does not matter where I go.

This week I might stay local like derbyshire and telford as I know two places there but I am after recommendations for other suppliers in my price range.

Thanks again!

Hi UKracer

35 to 38 new will get you a good selection of new motorhomes.

Here goes with a list of places I can think of, most of whom have websites.  I can always post the links if you can't find them.  If you don't mind a bit of travelling here goes

Todds at Preston

Marquis

Cleveland Motorhomes in the North East

Cotswold Motorhomes

Richard Baldwins in Halifax

I personally did not like Brownhills but they do have loads of vans (lots of Hymers and other Aclass ones)

Westcountry were also at the Three Counties show.

Autosleepers, Autocruise also have websites so you could get a feel of diferent layouts.

I am sure others can add their recommendations.

Good luck and enjoy looking as that is so much fun too.

Jana

Hope this gets you started as I am sure I can think of more dealers (probably have visited them too) and I haven't even mentioned the smaller convertors eg Devon etc if you fancy a van conversion.  Will look again and see if you have got fed up lol of websites.

ps I have some in "my favourites"

To decide which make/layout of van you want, go to a larger dealer like Brownhills as they have a large selection in one place. It saves so much treking around.

I wouldn't recommend buying from them though as they charge well over the odds.  Buy from one of the smaller dealers.

38 really is the top end ! We are allowing for the fact my wife gets VAT relief and we can get at least 16 for our Pilote Galaxy 23 (although more would be nice :)

Yeah great post your favourites to me if you know how to export them :)

We have today visted Lazy days nr market drayton.

We have found a CI with layout and price that suits us. We need to agree prices now. Although I will still continue to look until that day arrives. Its very long winded having to take your motorhome to get it valued and then return. The one good thing is that they will let me drive test model on trade plates to see how it fits on our drive as space is at a premium.

So to sum up the present option looks like a CI Riveira 181 without garage. The garage one I felt was dark and dingy although the space would be nice :)

Hopefully people will suggest others now I have given a model and price bracket and also someone with a CI will let me know how they have got on with theirs.

Thanks for everyone who is helping with this major purchase.......... :)
