hi i have 2 foot of awning left hanging out , the crank is just slipping.

Can this be D I Y ,d  or is it a call the man who can job, thank you.

Can you still wind it out, if so try to get it to its maximum and then rewind, also when out at max you might see if it has come away from the main housing
