Hi

Was at the Lincoln show yesterday and was impressed with the SOG toilet thing.before I part with cash can I ask for some advice:

When you empty the cassette is it extremelly pongy?

Do you put rinse aid in top flush?

Can you disperse the contents into drains/ fields?

Any advice gratefully received

I,ve also read that the SOG system smells from the outside. I wonder, if this is the case what does it smell like from the inside?   Had no personal experience of SOG and am sure there will be lots of people who have experience and  will be able to give a  true opinion.

Isn't that the point of them - to pump out bad odours to the outside.  I haven't seen one in the flesh but I think I'll stick with the tried and tested.

Hi,

I'm not totally sure about inside, but I think I read once that they either have or can have a charcoal filter fitted which I suppose could help with outside smells, but I'm not sure.

If I see one on an Aire I try to not tempt fate and park as far away as possible LoL

You have got to laugh at the subjects Motorhomes and Caravanners talk about LoL

We stay on aires a lot and sometimes the parking is close, and from experience we avoid parking next to motorhomes with the tell-tale block on the cassette door - sorry SOG users, but they do smell.

Some friends had one on a MH, when the wind was in the wrong direction you had to move your table and chairs as it gave off one hell of a pong. Theory is great, but needs some work for it to be any good

We have a Sog and must admit it does smell from the outside. Infact her that has to be obayed thought it was me. We now use the blue stuff.

Dont pitch next to one that has the vent,you can see it above the cassette door,they smell absolutly horrid.
