i have just fitted new rear discs, pads,and handbrake shoes to my m/h. The footbrake works perfectly, and although I adjusted both shoe adjusters after fitting the discs,and the handbrake now only lifts 4 clicks on the ratchet, the handbrake doesn't hold on a steep incline. should i have chamferred the edges of the shoes to allow a snugger fit to the inside surface of the disc/drum?
