I have finally given up the idea of replacing my old van's heart and decided to invest in a new (ish) motorhome.
So, just bought a 2.8 jtd ducato Ace Novella Verona.
This, I have been promised, goes like the proverbial off a shovel, even up hill!
Which leads me to wonder if it will also tow a small car?
Any tips, advice would be welcome. You always come up with great information, so, many thanks in advance.

check the max tow weight but should be alright, wouldnt advise using a A-frame or dolly but go for a proper twin axle car trailer, a new brian james trailer starts at 1k but you can get used ones cheaper

I doubt that you would get a new Brian James trailer for £1,000. I have a Brian James Minno for my Caterham 7 but you will not find many small cars will fit on a Minno. The going rate for a second-hand Minno is around £1,200.

I tow with a Hymer on a Fiat Ducato 2.5td and towed over the Col de Bonhomme in the Vosges mountains with no problems.

Hey highwayman lovely bit of kit you have bought .

Only my opinion and we all have them I would put an a-frame to it its easy to use and I would not be bothered by the crap about towing with one .

Go for it if you dont get on with it sell it .

I tow a Suzuki Alto, your new unit will not have a problem towing a car with a braked A.frame as its lighter than a car on a trailer,it takes about four minutes to hitch up,have look here, its the one I have, and look at thier video.

heres the video.

forgot to say I have the Jocky wheel with it,then you can drive gently up to the tow ball on your own.

Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.

I purchased mine from Armitage Trailers at ferry bridge. Fits in the boot great when not in use. The only downside with these A frames, you cannot reverse with them. Although when I need to I disconnect the brake couplin and away you go. Would'nt be without it. I find it better than a trailer.
