Having just embarked on owning one, we're now confused about which sort of windscreen cover to buy!! external or internal. There was a real collection of them on the site last night! We intend going away lots over the winter and summer and taking a 3 week trip around Europe in the Summer hols. So both weather extremes!! Any ideas folks??

Life's too short to put things off!!!
I prefer the external one, because it hot weather you can open the cab windows at night a little to help with ventilation if you want a bit more air cerculation and you cant see them open from the outside, and I think they are easyer to fit.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

external generally more efficient, no condensation -
but just remember you're likely to have to put them away damp and also put them up in the rain / snow
internal ones tend to have stickers / velcro - understand that they don't work so well after a while
external ones loop over doors - much more efficient
We have the external ones as no condensation but have used them internally on a few occasions when needed, although this is not given as an option. We had ours from http://taylormade-covers.co.uk/ as they are a competative price and have lots of options. Ours fold down so can let light in during the day without removing.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
I went for Talormade with fold down front but have always used unisulated screens, mainly because I find them much easier to pack away, need them more for keeping the cab cool in hot weather, and seem to work just fine in the cold. Dont go away when its generly freezing.

We just recently bought external silver screens from Taylormade (good quality, excellent service - arrived next day!) and they are great. No condensation and fold down front. BRILLIANT!
------------- Need more holidays!!
2024:
Feb Baltic Wharf, Bristol
Mar/April (Easter) - Somerset
May - Wales & Dulverton
June - Lake District
July - Dorset
August - Glastonbury
September - Snowdonia
October - Carnon Downs and ?? (for hab check)
November - Baltic Wharf, Bristol
Christmas - Cotswolds
We have both just because we never got round to flogging the internal ones.
The external ones are much better for stopping condensation but the internal ones come in handy for impromptu overnights especially if it's tipping it down. So if you get a chance of both for a good price they always come in handy. Never had a problem with mould forming on the external screens when I've taken them off wet and not been able to dry them off until we get home or wherever.

I use the insulated internal type. The fiammer suction cups you get with them are rubbish so i bought anorther make that where very soft like silicon, never had a problem since. Easy to fit when parked up and you dont get wet tee hee. We do a lot of wild vanping and lots of one night stays, it's easy to take them down quick and drive.

We have been fulltiming for six years now, and use the external silver screen summer and winter, ours has a fold down centre piece with a privacy netting for the summer, we have had the screen for six years.i think their is screen on the market now that covers the cab and goes over the bonnet and doors and pegs to the ground. this type must be a lot better because most of the cold air comes through the engine compartment. Hope this helps.good luck

We have a cheap (£6.00 from a show) internal which is a great sun screen and helps a little with insulation/condensation, good for privacy, very quick to put up easy to store but external when it gets cold.
