Hi Ray.

We are fulltiming and have discussed the possibility of buying a base again maybe a static caravan because thats all we can afford but we have imagined not being able to get up and go at the drop of a hat, we like being able to see different places and have itchy feet even when we have taken the offer of a cheap seasonal pitch, we want to be on  the move so dont feel we can settle yet, we havent tried abroad yet except Ireland and that is right hand drive.

So we know how you feel and I say go for it , you could aleays go back to a base if you want one, but we are not on this earth for long so do it I say, you only live once as the old saying goes!!!!

Our Vans have got bigger and bigger and have changed many times over the y.ears andf now are thinking of an RV which have all the things we want, especially the slide outs which makes the lounge bigger than the one we had with our last static home

I dont feel confident enough to tow a caravan let alone a 5th wheeler, god they look big???

I have been looking online at a caravan with slide outs and I have been thinking about taking a manoevering course to enable me to tow it, that would be better if we have to stay in one place longer, dont have to run the engine every so often like we do now.

Tez was an HGV driver many eons ago and not too confident to be able to do it again so I would probably need to do it.

Hi Ray,  good luck to you! It takes a bit of bottle to take the plunge. We have met several couples who were full timing when we had our motorhome and they all seemed very content. Wish I still had ( a new version of) our Minnie Winnie from the '80's. We had factory fit LPG to the engine, 2 rock and roll sofa/double beds and a huge overcab bed/storage area. With a genny we had , wild camping was easy too. Never full timed though, but it could be an option now..............those were the days.

Not so cheap when you add on the cost of a decent truck to tow them.
