isn't this all part and parcel of the council setting up airs type stopping places around B/pool? they agreed to do that after the local brough presure on them to control the campervan parking in some areas. especially the people who were parking up for a week or more at a time.

it is an end to the parking of cleveleys front, you have done this yourself by parking here for days, chaining your bikes to the outside of your portable homes, leaving no room for day trippers in cars to park, there was even one camper a tatty vw transporter with mr blobby parked on the slope to the disabled toilet next to the tram lines, i wonder why the locals have had enough of this , yes you bring a certain amount of economy to the town, but we will manage without you, we will always get the day trippers, at last we will have a free prom with plenty of parking,

I haven't done anything, I've never even heard of it, let alone been to it.

Seems to me 'byebyecampers' has just joined to make this comment. He is probably quite correct in his assertion that it is the mindless irresponsible minority who have behaved as suggested and spoiled it for the responsible majority.

Even so - pretty outspoken first post!

Cheers

John

Who knows how long byebyecampers has been suffering the frustration?
I live in a road marked Permit Holders Only (v.limited parking on cliff edge). Appears that hordes of surfers can't read. Arrive pre dawn, abandon campers across access roads, in resident parking bays, etc.
Also feel the need to shout to each other / leave radios blaring.

You are of cause correct Wendy..

...but a comparatively small section of campers/MHers have brought this on/behave like this..Not all of us.

My point was that for someone to join a "camping" forum(..under the name "byebyecampers" )..and then, for their first post to  rant on with a targeted, "you" and "yourself", as if everyone one of us on here pitches up at Cleveleys and are therefore to "blame", was out of line....

If 'byebyecampers" drives a car, can we then accuse him/her of irresponsible parking?..or maybe speeding?...if they're a dog owner, can we accuse them of letting them foul the streets..or worse..?..

No,  it'd be a gross generalisation to do such a thing(...just as their post was)..

I live in Cleveleys and last Saturday went down on the prom ,counted 40 motorhomes + 2 caravans, the caravans looked like they had been abandoned (eye sore).byebyecampers has got the parking restrictions wrong at the lower end near the toilets (no restrictions there )further along towards Cleveleys the restrictions are after 10pm but motorhomers are still staying overnight, the traffic warders finish work at 5pm and the police couldn't care less nothing to do with them. I must say there is about 3 0r 4 who have been down there for least 6 months (not on really)

I do sympathise with the residents when campers take the mick and park up for days or weeks on end and spoil the view, when we are lucky enough to park on Tenby front we do our best not to spoil anyones view and not outstay our welcome.
