Hi all . Can anyone recommend an engineer  in the manchester area  to take a look at my truma heating system .Or give me any ideas as to why it seems to just blow itself out (yes the gas was turned on). Boiler and heating system will fire up for about a minute and then go out leaving red light . Many thanks B .any suggestions welcome

HAVE YOU REMOVED THE OUTER OUTLET COVER??????????  The heater will extinguish itself due to not being ventilated to the outside.  Just check!!  Another possibilty is the leisure battery being low. ie not enough power in it to keep the heater going., hope you sort it.

After a lot of head scratching and a few phone calls i had a go myself . Removed shelf from cupboard. First check was the exhaust outlet low and behold the inner pipe had come off thus gases being drawn back to the boiler and shutting down . cleaned up the end of pipe and refit to outlet, put air intake pipe back on and way hay she fired up ..Ding Dong . hope this may be of use to others .

the units are usually a well fixed item, for that to happen it seems like someone has had the thing out at some stage , it would be a good idea if you look for some fixings around the unit otherwise it may reoccur , and an incorrectly vented gas appliance can be lethal,, if you haven't already, it may well be wise to invest in a carbon monoxide detector ,,
