Hi - can anyone help

I have been having problems with the interior lighting in my Auto trail Apache - sometimes the interior lights work and sometimes they don't. Sometimes the radio works and sometimes it doesn't. Is there some kind of reset button? Can anyone suggest ant solutions?

I do not think there is a reset button, but i do think you may have a very bad connection somewhere, where about Lanc's are you may i ask, i may be able to help more. I Think you need some one that knows about 12 volts  supply, but what bugs me is the fact that you mention that the radio cuts out as well?  Does the engine start ok? And the leisure battery is getting charged whilst the engine is running? On the whole i would check the earth connections ie. engine battery and the leisure one and see what happens. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the prompt reply winecicco.

The radio doesn't cut out, it wont switch off when driving and there is no sound (intermittent fault). Same with interior lights. One switch works that is on a dimmer, the other switches don't. Having said that the courtesy lights come on when you unlock the cabin door.

I will check the connections as you suggest.

I live in the Lancaster area.

think you will find you have 2 seperate faults, try a new stereo, the cab lights will work as their on main vans leccy your habitation lights are on seperate system, cant help much more as im onsite & a tad plastered tonight

IN the cabin area you probably have a faulty switch or a bad earth, as for the radio like silverwood says thats just coincidence .

If you have exhausted all of your diy avenuies i would be taking it to an auto elec it wont take them that long to find your faults.
