If you ask for help you can't expect people to have to search in your profile.

The reason Delboy probably asked you the qestion was to work out which class you should be tested in.

The reason the garage want to weigh your van is so that they know which class to test you in.

If you show them your previous test certificate they should be happy.

I know it won't seem sensible to you but the exact same thing happened to me at my MOT garage. They didn't know for certain that it would be class 4 as they don't usually do MH's and all their commercial vehicles have to be done by their friends up the road. They were happy when I produced the old MOT.

I'm posting this in case it helps someone else.
