Depends where you go, what facilities the site has and whether you have a hook up. The cost for us in our MH ranges between £17 - £25 per night (including EHU) - that's in the South of England.

You are basically occupying a pitch (sometimes called a 'Stance' in Scotland) so that is what you pay for. Sometimes a site will charge a set fee for van + 2 + EHU. Sometimes these will be charged seperately.

Sites in this area (Aberdeenshire) are about £14 - £20 a night for 2 people + EHU.

You can wild camp in Scotland, and fees are usually from £5 upwards. I did 6 weeks in Scotland and outer Hebridges in 2004 in a Romahome with my husband best time ever.

If you want plenty of information regarding your Romahome then look at Smallmotorhome.co.uk mainly Romahome owners with years of experience plus Ant who is the only owner of garage selling and servicing these little butes, what he doesnt know is not worth anything!

The prices range from £16 to £25 per night for 2 people including hook-up.  Have you tried searching for campsites on here?  You will get an idea of the sites by reading the reviews.  However, we do mostly wild camping with our camper these days. HTH

Your only a small camper van like we had a VW campervan. Same prices as the usual caravans, tents etc not the oversizers  pitch sizes the same as South.

Hope you got plenty of midgie creams with you as you'll need it. Remember they come through the air vents and also if they see the light at night through the gaps of the wiring from the engine to the cab they get through there also. Tenacious little beasties. So at night whether you camp wild or not and do remember they have changed the rule a bit to wild camping depending where you are. That's because there is always some that spoil the countryside by leaving  & dumping litter and all else. Personally nowadays I would prefer to ask a farmer or field owner we have seen usually 3 men in a hatchback always roaming about up & down the whole of the Uk out to do nothing but steal your unit. it could of happened to us twice only we never left it alone. They actually slowed right down crawling along until I happen to get up and then when they saw me they hopped it so it was obvious what they were up to.Their foot went down to hard on the gas pedal not to be doing so.

But it is a beautiful country just the same, we all get rogues around everywhere nowadays. You will enjoy it tremendously. Just ask its the best policy and get chatting to the locals.

Thanks for that,as far as wild camping and midgies are concerned I am well aware as my pal and myself both go every year with tents and living in the west of Scotland know all about the dreaded midgies, the other problem I know about the low lifes and always have to be aware and leave nothing worth stealing as far as the van is concerned that is what you pay insurance for.
