Maybe fit a perimeter alarm, the type that goes off if anyone gets within a set distance of the veichle, also add security camras to watch over it if its parked on your drive.
I know just how annoying this is as my step brother had his pinched off his Jeep, there does seem to be a spate of these going missing due to the expensive metals used in their manufacture being worth a few pounds at the scrappers yard.
The south east counties seem to be the worst hit for these, i know of a lot of people who have had them taken off their cars whilst they have been out on the Norfolk and Suffolk broads boating, they target them when they are parked up at the boatyards, but they also target pub and hotel carparks where people my be staying late through the night, so they can be pinched during the cover of darkness.
