I have a Ducato panelvan conversion that I'd like to put a porch on, but I'm worried about the sliding door action demolishing the porch when the door is opened from inside the van.
I don't want a 3metre wide porch, just a place to leave boots and maybe sit if it's raining, but mostly for draught proofing and rain protection.
Seen one that's the right size but not sure about the sliding door,
have you got one on a panelvan camper?

I've got a Renault Trafic with a sliding door and my porch is 3 x 2 metres, but I'm not sure which way round as I've only used it once. I have a 2 x 2 on my previous van and a friend has the same one and they're not a problem. I think you just have to make sure the van's position correctly against the awning and have enough of the tunnel part attached to the van - and make sure the runnel part is quite taught, not flapping around.

Do you mean just a simple,non-driveaway/caravan type awning like these?..

We've got the second one,an Outdoor RevolutionEasi Porch(although they've updated them since we had ours' ).We bought it to use on our first Duetto(mwb Transit van conversion) and it just about covered the door,whilst still covering the bulk of the door travel.

We found it ideal for what we wanted..simple to put up,not to bulky to store away...

We had mixed success with the fig of 8 moulding stuff though,as we found it would sometimes lift off our gutter rail...If we had kept the van longer I would've fitted a proper awning rail to it.
