i have just bought a 2002 citroen C15 romahome but the brakes seem poor has anyone any info on this problem i have had them tested and was told they would pass m.o.t thanks lenco1.

hi i dont have info on that particular model but try bleeding them you may have a spot of air in the system or it could even be the type of brake pads you have fitted , they be a very hard pad .

Anyway welcome to the forum please keep us informed as to results

Could be all sorts of reasons, What are the discs like, are they rough? Perhaps the fluid ain't been changed for yrs so causing spongy brakes. As you say brakes are ok for mot, I guess they 'feel' bad. I would check discs/pads, take off rear drums, clean out/check linings & change brake fluid.

Brakes on Citroen C15s have always been an optional extra. You must make sure that all the moving parts on the rear brakes move freely and that the adjusters are working correctly. They need regular care. Check also the load sensing valve. There is no such thing as a genuine 2002 C15 based Romahome and it must be an older camper shell fitted to a 2002 van which could be a 600kg or an 800kg van. It should be an 800kg van to have any kind of spare capacity. If you want more info about Romahome campers look at the smallmotorhome forum
