We have been camping (tent) for about 25 years. At one point I decided I wanted more comfort so we bought a caravan........we hated it. We had it for 2 years and with a large side awning it gave us plenty of room with the 5 children. However we found it a lot of hassle and both hated towing, so we sold it after 2 years and went back to tenting. Now with all the kids grown up we want a bit more mobility along with comfort. Plus as we are getting older as well it is becoming a bit of a bind to set everything up when we pitch. So we have just purchased a VW autosleeper (Humpfry) and I am sooo looking forward to going away next weekend. We want to be able to travel abit more and use the sites as more of a night stopover rather than a holiday destination. The campervan does have a drive away awning if we want to stay at one place for a couple of night though, so the best of both worlds! :)
