Could you not use a pair of steel car ramps on your drive to bring the van up level, or make your own timber ones.
If the slope is not too great perhaps a pair of Fiamma leveling ramps could be used, and they would come in handy when on site if on an uneven pitch.
Trouble with tarps, they need to be well lashed down, or they could take off in high winds,apart from causing friction marks on the paintwork.
