Has anyone got one? If so, I need your opinions please. How sturdy is it in windy conditions when not connected to a van? Is it easy for one (vertically challenged) person to erect alone? How spacious is it inside?

The problem is this - a few days ago I won a brand new awning on ebay, at an extremely good price and identical to my current one (which I absolutely love but unfortunately has seen better days, though still usable) The seller lives within driving distance so I arranged with him that I would collect it rather than him send it - I've now had an email from him saying that he can't find the awning in his unit (according to his listing it seems he sells lots of camping accessories so must store them in a lock-up) and he has offered me the Quest Elite as an alternative - more expensive but for the same price. I've just found a pic of one of these on ebay - not the same seller - and I'm not sure whether I like it or not.

I'm not in a particular rush for a new awning as I can still use the one I have, and I haven't yet paid for the one I won - we agreed on cash on collection - so I now have three alternatives. Accept the alternative awning even though it might not be what I want or like, tell the seller I will wait and give him time to find the one I won, or agree with him to cancel the sale and try to get what I want from elsewhere even though it will cost more.

Before I make any decision I'd really like to know more about the Quest Elite from a user's point of view, so if anyone has one I would welcome any opinions please.

Hmmm......twenty four views and no replies, so I guess maybe no-one has one of these to pass an opinion on. Oh well, at least I got rid of my own blue face! lol

Sorry mate only just seen your post, I have a quest elite awning, and find it extremely easy to go up as the mechanism is just like an umbrella, but although you can do it on your own it is definitely a two man job, mine is 2.50x2.50 and I find it plenty big enough to cook and seat and watch the world go by in it, I have yet to leave it ie, without the camper attached to it to say how well it would fare in windy conditions, I reckon it will be fine as it comes with sturdy storm straps, I definitely would not do without it even on weekends D.A.s
