i am thinking of fitting an extra leisure battery alongside my excisting one in my van;firing them in parrallel to keep it 12v. anyone think of any problems.with these dark and cold nights i could do with a bit more battery life.

As long as they are pretty much the same rating and both sound it should work O.K. I've used a doubled up system for a year or more with no problem.If however one is mcuh older and or weaker than the other you might have problems as untill they are 'balanced' the stronger battery will push current through the weaker one.
