 Hi, does anyone know where I can buy a wooden shower duckboard.I have seen them in campers for sale but have never seen them for sale. Thanks R.K.

hi tvfree. first post so hope this works. i do a bit of woodwork but as i live in liverpool i'm a bit far away. if you are going to make your own duckboard, i would use cedar as it is naturally resistant to rot and easy to work. hope this helps.....

Hello all thanks for your input, I have tried dunelm, ikea and looked at loads of internet sites, but my shower base is a kind of L shape and this is the problem. I have seen them fitted in a couple of motorhomes and did not look home made. However maybe thats the only way to go. R.K.

With all the talk about very thin/fragile plastic in MH bathrooms I would be very carefull about putting any solid 'flooring' on top of the floor in the shower area. Be it a complete moulded plastic tray in just the shower, or a full floor including the toilet area. The mouldings are very thin indeed and only a little pressure of something as solid as wood may crack the flooring. Try one of the flexible tye of mats that are see thru and look like bebbles in shape and are easily cut with scissors to the shape you require. You could even use the stuff on a roll that looks like awning carpet or the stuff used to keep things still on plastic surfaces. I would certainly look for something that will be posible to shape if req'd, and washable. I was raised with a duckboard in the family bathroom...they are good. Have just bought one from B&M outlet stores...cost 4.99 but its only used on a ceramic tiled bathroom floor where it can do no damage at all.
