Morning all, I'm in the sad position that I have to sell my Dads camper van, would love to run her myself but can't afford it.  I have placed an add on here and on preloved.  Trying to avoid ebay if i can....so is there anywhere else you can think of that i could place an add....at little cost.

I think your bias to wards ebay is misplaced...if you place a classified ad on ebay  it only costs £15 for 28 days  and dont use paypal as the their fees are a rip off.... ... you could also try gumtree which is free......I tend to stick it on both.. though everyone uses ebay so you get higher response rate from it......

As stated, the much maligned ebay provides the biggest shop window as it is country wide & everybody looks at it, whatever else they look at.

However you sell it, the same risks are involved. The more the van is worth the more you have to be careful of thieves & scammers.

That looks ok, good set of pictures. Beware of emails from scammers & remember cleared cheques can be uncleared by your bank. Best would be to do the deal in cash.

Best payment methods are either cash paid into your account during banking hours to ensure the money isn't counterfeit, or an electronic transfer straight into your bank account.

Don't forget bankers drafts, cheques etc are all widely used in fraudulent transactions.

When we bought a car using a bankers draft, the owner came to the building society with us while the draft was drawn so that she knew it was a genuine one. I thought that was reasonable, I didn't want to draw the cash out, it was a fair old chunk! Just a thought.
