Yes it was the council run site.Very friendly staff on arrival. Was advised that the grass pitches were a "bit boggy" due to the recent wet weather they had.Due to the site being quiet,we were allowed to parkup on the roadway in front of our pitch.Checked out the facilities.Toilet blocks basic but clean.Unfortunately the cafe on site was closed, would have fancied a cuppa and shooting the breeze but not to worry.Really nice surrounding area aswell. We will return and take our dog with us too.Huge fields behind the site plus Bute Park and River Taff walks.
Prices have gone up £25 night inc elec hook-up awning etc.Better than £30/£40 b&b prices.
Prob get busy in warmer months, but that would be understandable.Best to enquire and book up as not many pitches on the site.
Good pub down past the cricket club.Has REAL ALES.........mmmmmm....
------------- You may get there faster.....but we have beer in the fridge
