We have decided to change the tyres on our motorhome as they are now about 9 years old and starting to show their age. I have just had a shock pricing these tyres and wondered if anyone knows where I could get some good priced Michelin Agilis Camping 215/75 R16 113, either fitted or if off the internet then purchase only. Best price so far is £674.40 fitted for 4 tyres.
We live in sunderland if anyone needs to know my area.
Thanks Stacetop, Camskill tyres seem like a good site, they do not have what I want in stock at the moment but hoepfully in about 2 weeks. Just wondered how much you are being charged to have yours fitted.
I am just getting mine from the local garage as price was similar to camskill, including fitting unfortunately I don't know the name of garage but he mainly does trucks etc. he's a bit unreliable as out off site fitting most of the time. Try some local garages to you and you might hit lucky
I had michelin camping tyres on mine, however when they were due to be replaced, I fitted Avon AV9 AVANZA .This was after consultation with a reliable tyre company .... Important with motorhome tyres is the strength of the wall which has to put up with standing in one place for long periods and these tyres are specially reinforced in this area. I have to say that handling is better than it was with the michelins and a little cheaper...£100 each
I have been having trouble trying to find a tyre dealer who can order me the michelin tyres which will take less than a month to obtain. I have been offered Continental Vanco Camp tyres, has anyone used these or had any problems with them, they are also classed as specificallly for motorhomes and are a premium range tyre. What does anyone think please.
