What wattage is the water heater? That is the question you have to ask yourself, and then go for one at least 100/to 300 watts higher, ie, some of them are not built with surge protection hence the above, although now if you really spend some money you can get a decent genny with built in inverters and surge protection, i must admit i use a kipor 1000, but i have never run it to have the boiler on, just to recharge my leisure battery, her indoors likes her bloody tv on, most of the day,hence the genny.
