I am in the market for a new little camper and I like the small Roma Home types with a folding down roof and under 6 foot wide. But where do you put a bike rack?

Any ideas anyone? Do I have to have a side door rather than a back door? Any other little makes you can suggest that might fit the ticket? Thanks for your help.

I'm also looking for a small campervan.

Have you seen the fiat doblo's and renault kangoo conversions. These have a sliding side door for access.

I think with the romahomes you may be able to fit a tow bar and then a towbar mounted bike  rack, but would have to remove it to access the van.

I'd also be interested to hear how people find these small vans from a practical point, do they have enough storage etc.

Jules

If a bike rack isn't possible you coud perhaps look at folding bikes.
Many styles out there not all have small wheels etc.
Just a thought as we are looking at this route.

Thank you for your replies. I love the Roma Homes and I love my bike. To put the two together I might have to get a complete throw over cover sheet and put the bike inside. I have heard of tow bar bike racks but they have to be moved/unbolted before you can open the door, no quick cuppas that way.
I suppose a folding bike is an option but I love my bike. Brompton are the best folding bike, there are a lot of rubbish ones too. Brompton's are very expensive and I still love my bike.
Any more suggestions like the Doblo and Kangoo please add them, I am grateful for the help.
