I have just sold my boxer based 06 registed motorhome and have a 3 seat which I used to change back and forth if we took the grandson with us ,we used the same four bolts to fix both seats and took about ten minutes to swop over . I bought it from a vehicle dismantler. The seat belts come fixed to the seat.   Let me know if it is of interest to you or if I can be of help   Brian

That's great news thanks Brian, I have had info on another forum that the floor plan for the x230 ducato and teh X244 was the same and has an array of boltholes. I suspect that I will be able to swap the seats but may have to use 2 different inner holes - that should be hidden under the carpet. A nice ebayer has offered to measure the holes on the seat he has for sale on Tuesday -
I think you're a way too far north for me to get a seat from you though if that's what you were kindly offering.

I will post the results of my findings

Thanks again.
Hope you had a nice weekend

Nick

Thats fine so hope you get fixed up and if I can be of any help let me know. I would be happy with £30 pound plus whatever it would cost to get it to you if you don't get fixed up with the other guy Regards Brian

Had the reply from the ebayer, the holes almost match my rough measurements and so need to take my own seat out to exactly measure. Will post

Re legalese... you need to inform insurance company but as is a possible standard config it shouldn't change your premium but they may charge for the documentation ammendment.

You should tell DVLA as again it will make the registration document incorrect. I will be calling to say it's a temp change of seats and not permanent and see what they say - I hope they don't ask for re-MOT etc.

Will let you know

Hi Ruth   Sorry not replied sooner but been away for nearly a week with no internet access so only just picked this up.   I live in Ayrshire 20 miles south of Glasgow. the double seat I have was fitted to my 2006 boxer based motorhome and was a straight swop for the four bolts that secure the single seat. If I can help further let me know Brian T

Thanks both, very helpful, legal stuff makes sense.
Brian, think it would be great but a bit far,, although typical i was up that way last week! Never mind, i suspect it would be expensive to courier.

Latest update on holes!

The kind Ebayer says the 2002 - 2006 seat holes are 33cm side to side and 35cm front to back

I measured mine as 33cm side to side and 34.2cm front to back - he's going to re-measure and let me know if there's any flex in the legs...
