I saw a German registered motorhome coach built onto a double cab (crew cab/twin cab) ford transit on the M6 toll road today.
I have never seen such a thing before but i guess it provides the safest form of transport for any passengers in the rear of a motorhome and also makes for a huge over cab bed!!!
I couldn't make out the manufacturer but looked like it was on a 2007 onwards Transit.
Can anyone identify this for me as i am rather intrigued? Various google searches have not provided an answer so far.

could have been a one off build . you could do it here . no problems to do it . i have built loads of truck campers for mates etc. might find you want it built on the bigger transits . the newer 4,600kg ones would make a great camper.
I agree with Alan..chances are it was a self-build..
The fibreglass,ex-telecom type bodies are a quite popular choice..and make for a tidy, neat little unit..and a demountable version built upon a crewcab Transit, would make for a versatile vehicle...

Several makes of demountable campers about so it could have been one of them. Usually seen on double cab pickups.
Oh yeah..that may've been what it was...
There was a large "American" sized demountable, mounted on a VW LT/Crafter on ebay some months back...I was all for bidding on it but the missus wasn't keen(..as in "wouldn't let me"! )
This was definitely on a transit and seemed to sit too low to be a demountable - I am 99% sure it was a coach built.
Although I have google every connotation of a possible decsription searching for images - a few australian demountable but as I say above they sit far higher on a load bed.

there are several companies that will build a one off for you in germany . lots do in fact built on toyota landcruisers if you want a 4x4. try helmut ginsters site www.tourfactory.de. he builds cracking campers in germany . seen his and afew of his customers in morocco.
you do have to think that self builds or one offs can be made to look /are the real thing . even badged by the companies that make them. its the way forward to cut out the excessive profits of m,home manufacturers and get just what you want.
yes there as been a few imported from japan. .some nice mazda and nissan jap campers as well. the mitsubisi canter blends itself well to being a small rigid camper.
